The preparation of the session begins at the Complimentary Telephone appointment where all desired colors or themes will be discussed along with information on how the appointment day and time will be scheduled. For newborn babies, preparation begins in the last trimester when the appointment is booked.
Many mothers worry about not making it to their due date, most women deliver safely after 36 weeks and healthy babies get to go home. There will be ongoing communication with the expecting mother and the photographer regarding the baby’s arrival and exact appointment date. The appointment is normally scheduled between 5 to 10 days of the baby’s life for best results.
Newborn photography can be done with babies as old as weeks with the parents understanding that their bundle of joy may no longer want to sleep. For safety reasons, the baby will have to be completely bundled during the session.
The mom must bring the baby’s essential items to the appointment such as receiving blankets, milk, diapers, pacifier, baby lotion, wipes, hairbrush, and any other essential items. With that being said, a well-prepared diaper bag shall do the trick…
